How is God capable of thinking or having emotions?

This is a very good question. William Lane Craig has a whole book on the subject of God's relationship to time called "Time and Eternity." He believes that God existed without time and that time began simultaneously with the beginning of the universe. God entered time when he created it. He has a whole chapter on the subject of how God could be sentient in a state of timelessness, and you'd probably find it interesting. Unfortunately, it was too hard for me to understand, and it's been too long for me to remember what he said. I thought I'd give you a reference, though.
