How do I avoid getting bulky thigh muscles?

Make sure you are stretching your legs properly and frequently. A little stretching goes a long way. As for bulkiness, I would avoid doing "the stairs" it works your calf muscles A LOT and will make them very bulky. If you see see a man or woman with really bulky calves, they usually do the stairs. Meaning they run up and down a set of stairs repeatedly.
