Has anyone else had this happen? first trimester?

I went to my first doctors appt today and they done a pelvic exam and a sonogram can see amniotic fluid but no baby done blood work and they are going to call me n the next couple of hours....I am a wreck and can hardly maintain!! Please NO non sense!!!!!
