Credentials needed to de a zoo keeper or wild animal behaviourist?

In college i want to study zoology (it's the only course available to me at the moment) but i was wondering what knowledge, level, course or experience was needed to study animals in the wild or to be a zoo keeper? will this be enough..if i do a masters/phd?
