Wisdom tooth pain (Is it just Erupting or Impacted)?

Greeting Yahoo Answerers! Now, 2 of my wisdom teeth started to erupt on my lower gums but the I only experience pain on the left side of my jaw. It really hurts that I need to wake up in the midnight hour just to gargle salt with warm water to ease the pain temporarily. I could see some part of the tooth already erupted but almost half of the tooth is still inside my gum. I didn't experience any pain on the right side of my jaw compared to left. Could it be impacted or it's still just in the process of erupting that's why it still hurts? I know X-Ray could give me the answer to all of these but I want some answers until I haven't done it yet. Thank you so much and God bless you.
